so frustrating: a poem i love has been rejected 3x with a note about how much the reader enjoyed it but how it’s ‘not quite right for us.’
Was in the area for a workshop yesterday so I bought myself an early bday present from maison du macaron on 23rd. MMMM. http://t.co/JeGStpEU

This Missoni for Target thing is going to be very dangerous on my wallet. I love almost the entire collection. @TargetStyle

I literally just went “awwwww” to a rejection letter because it was so nice. If the journal were a boyfriend, I’d want to stay friends.
Earlier in July, I found out about Matt Kish’s illustrated Moby Dick, coming out in October from Tin House Books. I was so completely taken with the project, that I immediately gushed about it here, and then decided I wanted to write about it on Summer of Sister Love too, since over there we are all about the handmade and creative.
Go read my interview with Matt, and find out how you can win an ORIGINAL ink & acrylic illustration that he created specifically for us. Go read it now!
